A matriarchal warrior civilization from the Skovos Isles, built on the legacy of their nephalem founders.


The Askari are not wandering mercenaries. They are a civilization, rooted in the Skovos Isles in the south. Their society is divided into two ruling castes: the Amazon Caste (warriors and protectors) and the Oracle Caste (seers and prophets). Political power is shared between two queens, one from each caste.

Their founding ancestors, the warrior Philios and the renegade angel Lycander, are venerated as deities. Their religion centers on cosmic order and the obligations of the strong to protect it. They have little patience for the Zakarum Church or the politics of the mage clans.

An Askari character would be abroad because the Oracles foresaw something that demanded a champion be sent. This is treated as a serious commission within their culture, not a personal adventure.

Guiding principles: Duty to prophecy and civilization. Physical and spiritual discipline as inseparable. Strength in service of order, not conquest.

Best fit: Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Cleric (War or Light).
