The oldest and most powerful of the eastern mage clans — and the most infamous.

The Vizjerei were the dominant force in eastern magic for centuries. They pioneered demon summoning, believing they could control the beings they called. They could not. The consequences — the Mage Clan Wars, the destruction of their capital Viz-jun, and the persecution of mages that followed — are their legacy as much as their power.

After the wars, the Vizjerei formally swore off demonic summoning and created the Viz-Jaq’taar, an order of hunters tasked with policing all mage clans for corruption. Whether this was genuine reform or political survival depends on who you ask. Rumors persist that some Vizjerei have returned to forbidden practices.

The clan survives, diminished and secretive. A Vizjerei character carries the weight of that history — the power of the tradition and the stain of what it caused.

Guiding principles: Mastery of arcane forces. Knowledge pursued without flinching from its cost. Responsibility for what the clan unleashed — or denial of it, depending on the character.

Best fit: Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock.
