The Zann Esu are one of the eastern mage clans, but unlike the Vizjerei they kept a lower profile during the Mage Clan Wars and avoided the worst of the fallout. Every seven years, members travel Sanctuary seeking girls with latent magical ability. Those found are brought into the clan and trained from youth in elemental magic — fire, ice, and lightning are their domains.

They are insular and self-selecting. Membership is not chosen; it is identified. A Zann Esu character was found, trained, and shaped by the clan from an early age. Leaving on a mission means the clan has decided the wider world needs their attention — a rare judgment.

Guiding principles: Magical discipline as identity. The corruption of arcane power by demonic influence is a direct threat to what they are. Precision over raw force.
