Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye

An order of archers and scouts based in Khanduras, keepers of a prophetic artifact taken from the Skovos Isles.

The Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye is an order of archers, scouts, and hunters based in Khanduras. It was founded by a group of women who broke from the Askari of the Skovos Isles and left with the Sightless Eye, a sacred artifact of prophecy that the Isles regard as stolen. They settled in the west and built an independent order around it.

Their home is the Rogue Monastery, east of Tristram, which serves as both headquarters and training ground. The order is organized for reconnaissance and skirmishing rather than open battle, and its members are trained as survivalists as much as fighters.

The order’s practice centers on what the Sisters call “inner sight”: the trained ability to perceive danger, read terrain, and anticipate what is coming. The Sightless Eye anchors this tradition, lending the order glimpses of the future alongside the ordinary discipline of a scout.

The Sisterhood values self-reliance and perception over force. Seeing clearly, in the literal sense and the prophetic one, is treated as the foundation of every other skill, and a Sister is expected to read a situation before acting on it. Loyalty to the order is held above outside allegiance, a legacy of an order that separated itself from its parent civilization and has kept its independence since.

The Askari of the Skovos Isles consider the Sisterhood renegades and thieves, and the Sightless Eye they took remains a source of tension between the two. The Sisters, for their part, operate as an established order in Khanduras and answer to no authority abroad.

The Rogue Monastery lies within Khanduras, not far from Tristram, which places the Sisterhood among the closest organized forces to the darkness spreading around the town. A Sister drawn into those events is usually a scout or hunter sent to investigate reports of danger, the kind of perception-driven reconnaissance the order exists to perform.

Example motivations:

  • Self-reliance and loyalty to the order above outside allegiance.
  • A conviction that seeing clearly, physically and otherwise, is the root of all skill.
  • Perception and preparation valued over brute force.

Suggested classes: Ranger, Rogue, Fighter (Arcane Archer).
